How Plantoat handles information.
Scope
This policy covers plantoat.com, private-beta signups, support enquiries and the Plantoat private-beta mobile app. It does not cover files or information you deliberately export to another service.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including account details, beta-list details, support messages and wedding-planning information you choose to enter. The app can include tasks, guest details, budgets, vendors, schedules, style information, media and private vows. Private vows use a separate author-only model and are not made visible through ordinary wedding collaboration roles.
We also process limited technical information needed for security, authentication, synchronization and service reliability. Cloudflare may process network and security signals when it protects forms with Turnstile or serves the website. We do not ask contact-form users to send passwords, identity documents, vows, guest lists or payment details.
Why we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, synchronize authorized data, operate collaboration permissions, respond to enquiries, manage beta invitations, diagnose failures and understand aggregate website usage. We do not sell personal information or use private wedding content for advertising.
Sharing and processors
Information is shared with collaborators only according to the access you grant. Service providers may process information for hosting, authentication, synchronization, abuse prevention, database storage and aggregate analytics. Cloudflare currently hosts the website, protects public forms and stores waitlist and contact records. App infrastructure providers are described in the product’s in-app notices as the beta develops.
Retention
Waitlist records are kept while beta invitations and meaningful release updates remain relevant, and inactive records are reviewed within 24 months. Contact enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after the last interaction unless a longer period is reasonably needed to resolve a request or comply with law. App data is kept while an account or wedding remains active and is removed or de-identified through the account-deletion process, subject to limited security, backup and legal retention.
Your choices and requests
You can unsubscribe from beta email, change collaboration access in the app and request access, correction or deletion of information. Account deletion is available in the app’s Account security screen. To make a privacy request, use the contact form; do not attach identity documents unless Plantoat later gives you a secure, verified method.
Security, children and changes
Plantoat uses access controls, encrypted transport, local-first storage and service-provider safeguards, but no system can promise absolute security. The service is not directed to children under 13. Material policy changes will be dated here and, when appropriate, communicated to beta participants.
